HOW TO STYLE YOUR HOME FOR DINNER PARTIES!

Food, drinks, friends, long conversation is what good dinner parties are made of. But, they are also about the ambience you create for your guests, whether it’s the candles and lighting or the type of music you choose for your party.

To help you organize a flawless and fun-filled gathering, here are some simple tips on everything you need to know about throwing your best dinner party!

1. PICK A THEME~

Dinner parties are fun on their own, but they can be made more exciting with a theme. Think about the details you like, pick a color palette – a neutral – classic with white, cream and beige or a winter dinner in black and greys with crystal glasses, dark floral accents, etc. It could be anything you like!

2. LET THERE BE LIGHT!

Turn off a few lamps, add fairy lights and plenty of candles – you could use a silver candelabrum or a handful of tea lights. Add some fragrance around the table by adding scented candles and use normal candles in fancy stands or glass jars to make it look like part of the crockery. Remember, light plays an important role in your set up!

4. DRESS UP THE TABLE~

The table is the source of an evening’s atmosphere. Think of your tablescape as more than just serving accoutrements for food and drinks — it is, in fact the crafting place for your dinner night. Your table linens, plates, silverware, glasses, centerpieces, flower arrangement and decorations are visual clues for your guests. Nothing says ‘special’ more than a crisp tablecloth. A table cloth should fall at least a foot below the top of the table.

4. MAKE IT NATURAL!

It is amazing how natural elements can beautify a dinner table setup! By just adding natural leaves and roses to your setup, you can give your dining table an earthy look and feel. P.S. Faux flowers work even better – they are reusable and light on the pockets!

6. MAKE IT PERSONAL~

Find a simple yet stylish way to personalize each guest’s place at the table, such as tying a pretty tag to each glass with the guest’s name marked on it or by adding a personalized menu card for each of your guests. Place napkins alongside at each place setting.
